Z-200 C+ : The most innovative Handheld LIBS

Carbon Analyzer

Portable LIBS Carbon Analyzer

Dear visitor, we inform you that this product is no longer marketed, it is now replaced by the Z-902, we nevertheless let you browse the various application notes and downloadable documents, which are still relevant.

The Z-200 C + is the most portable and powerful LIBS analyzer ever created.

The first and only LIBS portable metal analyzer in the world to be able to analyze carbon in low alloy steels, stainless steel and nickel base, with a sensitivity (detection limit of 0.008%) sufficient to differentiate between 304 and 304 L stainless steel or 316 and 316 L.

Among its unique characteristics, it is also capable, as example, to analyze Boron in stainless steel 304 (S30460-S30467) or Beryllium (detection limit 5 ppm) in aluminum and copper alloys.

Its advanced technology includes a third spectrometer dedicated to carbon line, on-board argon purge to deliver quantitative results; laser burst surface cleaning to eliminate grinding or surface prep; laser rastering for improved precision. It’s Android-based operating system is as friendly and intuitive as a Smartphone, and it supports numerous analytical Apps for a variety of sample types.
The Z uses the LIBS technique – laser induced breakdown spectroscopy. Like OES, LIBS delivers very accurate chemistry provided it’s operated in an argon purge environment, although it is available with a lower cost air burn option.
