X-5 : Portable XRF Analyzer
For Alloys and Precious Metals
The SciAps X-5 portable XRF analyzer is the ideal choice for our customers who carry out routine analyzes of metals, alloys (PMI, Recycling) and precious metals, without the need for lightweight elements, but who want to benefit from the ergonomics and size of the X-500 series.
It is the most affordable of the X-500 series SciAps portable XRF analyzers, equipped with a powerful 4-watt X-tube and a basic 7 mm² SDD detector active area, measurement times are very fast and analyzes precise.
It is currently available in 2 versions:
- NDT, Recycling: for many NDT/PMI jobs that require verification of low alloy steels, Cr/Mo steels, stainless and corrosion resistant alloys, the X-5 offers excellent performance. Alloy applications include sorting of stainless steels, high temperature alloys and coppers.
- Precious metals: in this version the X-5 includes a specific factory calibration for analyzes including the elements Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ir, Pt, Au, Pb, Bi, Zr, Mo, Ru, Rh, Pd, Ag, Cd, Sn and Sb. Other items can be added upon request.
Like all XRF SciAps the X-5 is equipped with two integrated cameras, the micro camera can be used to easily align small samples or small components like rings and chains for analysis and the macro camera can acquire images of the Full sample to save with reports for record keeping or sharing with clients.
As an option, the X-5 can be equipped with its ultra-light docking station, the upper part of a glass window on the top, which reassures both buyer and seller. The sample remains visible from the start to the end of the analysis.
